I've always been drawn to the power of a story. As a kid, I’d wear out DVDs, not for the movies, but for the behind-the-scenes features, mesmerized by how images and sound could convey a powerful message. This fascination grew into my life's mission: to capture stories and share them to change the world.
Growing up in the rural South, I saw firsthand the vital role that nonprofit organizations play, as my family depended on them for food, medical care, and clothing. That experience ignited a lifelong passion for service, which I've pursued by volunteering since 2009.
This passion took a new direction in 2022. While being honored by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, I launched ARKAST, the first podcast festival in Arkansas, and started a nonprofit to support podcasters. Now, as a member of the Board of Governors for The Podcast Academy and the Vice President of the board for Exodus.Life, I'm honored to use my voice to shape the industry and support the causes I believe in.
My podcast, Longterm: A Podcast in Recovery, is a passion project with over 20,000 monthly listeners. Through it, I work to understand the recovery journey without having gone through it myself, fostering a unique and empathetic dialogue. I also produce powerful podcasts on topics from juvenile justice to the traumatic stories of medical providers, all with the goal of creating authentic, impactful media. My work is a combination of my technical expertise, my love for storytelling, and my profound appreciation for the organizations that give so much.
